Hemlock Farms has three predominant places of worship
at the community. Originally the developer had deeded five acre
parcels of land to the Ecumenical Church of Hemlock Farms, the Catholic
and the Hewish Fellowship. The Catholic Church eventually opted to
locate just outside the community on Route 739 just south of the main
entrance.
For many years the Scranton Diocese of the
Catholic Church had Sunday mass at the Steer Barn.
Eventually Sunday mass became so crowded they began having two
masses each Sunday. By the late 70's the Church had raised
over $300k and on July 7, 1980 St. John Neumann Catholic Church
was dedicated.

and the Reformed Church of America. As the community grew so did
the church and on may 12, 1996 new and larger sanctuary
was dedicated with the old sanctuary to serve as a fellowship
room.
The Jewish Fellowship at Hemlock Farms is the
only Jewish presence in Pike County. By August 1974
membership had grown to over 100 family. on August 3, 1980
The Jewish Fellowship Community Center on Forest Drive/Hemlock
Farms Road was dedicated. Growth continued through the
90's and in 2000 a new Jewish Fellowship Community Center was
built.
The Interfaith Council of Hemlock Farms is an
organization that has three representatives from each of the
three organized religious groups that administer programs
designed to increase interfaith understanding. The Council
has an annual Memorial Day and Thanksgiving Service with the
three faiths taking turns as hosts.
